The Faire starts the 2nd weekend in June and continues for 8 weekends total. The next two years would not conflict with the first weekend in August, 2014 and 2015 conflict, after that 2020 is the next conflict. I would say that the first full calendar weekend of august is a reasonable compromise.

As noted in the Dragonfest 2011 Annual Report, mailed with ballots recently, the board decided to move Dragonfest to the first calendar weekend in August. Next year's Dragonfest will be August 1st through 5th, 2012.
