There is a general encouragement to keep the location secret, not discuss the festival with locals, discourage visitors, etc. in order to protect those "hidden children of the goddess" who may be in the "broom closet in their mundane lives" possibly risking jobs, child custody, etc. Such an operational paradigm precludes most publicity, even in the pagan community. My question is what is your opinion on Dfest's historical stance about how "known" the festival should be to "outsiders" and how would your actions as a board member be influenced either way?
