Merchants Row has long been a vital part of the Dragonfest event. In addition to providing unique crafts and specialty items to attendees, it connects us to an ancient cultural activity: building community in the market.
Our merchant spaces measure 10 feet wide by 20 feet deep. Camping is permitted in the rear of the space in a tent or camper. You may purchase up to 3 contiguous spaces. To register as a Merchant please contact merchants@dragonfest.org before you send in your registration.
Important Sales Tax and Licensing Notice for All Merchants
Dragonfest is required by Colorado law to report merchant information to the Colorado Department of Revenue in connection with our retreat. As a Special Event under the law, all merchants at Dragonfest are required to comply with C.R.S. § 39-26-103(9), and are required to obtain a Colorado Special Event License before selling in accordance with that statute.
All sales made during Dragonfest are subject to Colorado state and local sales tax, which currently totals 4.5% at our event location.
Please note:
- Dragonfest does not collect or remit sales tax on behalf of merchants.
- Merchants are solely responsible for collecting, reporting, and remitting any and all required taxes to the Department of Revenue.
- By registering as a merchant, you will be required to affirmatively acknowledge this obligation and confirm your awareness of the licensing and tax collection requirements.
- Merchant information provided during registration will be submitted to the Colorado Department of Revenue as part of our legally-required reporting.
