Community Guidelines for Dragonfest Facebook Group

The Dragonfest Facebook Group is a great place to connect with community members, meet new people, and keep up-to-date on the latest Dragonfest news. Since the beginning of the group, a team of volunteer moderators have worked to keep this group relevant and useful to our community. In order to make sure this remains a vibrant group and to help everyone understand what might cause a moderator to ask you to reconsider a post, we have established three simple community guidelines for the Dragonfest Group.

To start out with, we want to be sure the purpose of the Dragonfest Facebook Group is clear:

Dragonfest is a regional neopagan / spiritualist retreat held in the mountains of Colorado each August. This group is a place for the Dragonfest community to share conversation, information, and their passion for Dragonfest.

Three Simple Community Guidelines:

Be Civil – Treat others with mutual respect. This includes not engaging in personal attacks, harassment, threats, nor hateful or discriminatory comments. Trolling, thread hijacking, and being deliberately disruptive are not acceptable community behaviors.

Be On-Topic – Posts should be geared towards topics of general interest to the Dragonfest community. Information about activities or events that the community would be interested in are great. However, self-promotion, advertisements, and repeatedly reposting the same information (spamming) do not help us to build a more connected community and are better suited for other forums.

Be Tasteful – Dragonfest is a family-friendly community. Keep posts free of profanity, sexually explicit, or otherwise offensive content, including links to such content.

Community members are also expected to adhere to Facebook’s official Terms of Service.
